Taming my dragon

I have a baby beardie, about 3 months old. He will eat crickets from my hand, let me hold him and pet him, but he scurries away, jumps off me...so I have to hold him over his tank, so he won't get loose. (I have dogs). How can I tame him and get him used to being out of his enclosure? Is there a way to calm him down?
Thanks.

At that age I liken it to having a toddler who wants nothing to do but explore their environment. I would suggest holding him close to lights out when they are settling down for the evening. Wrap him/her up like a burrito and snuggle with him on your chest.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
