These are the adventures of Toothless, the Bearded Dragon. (He asks that you please do not confuse him with the popular night fury, also named Toothless, he said he is much more fierce and intimidating than any night fury.)
"Hey, can I get some service over here?"

I have quick little video of him on 10/22/12. (I apologize for the poor quality, I am not the best at making videos)

I will include some brief information on how I have cared for him since we have had him. Please feel free to post any comments, questions, and suggestions! :D

He is about 7 month old now and almost 17 inches long. We bought him at repticon in June and I found this website the day I brought him home. Of course I had researched for a long time before purchasing him so I had a decent setup, and everyone here has been incredibly helpful in troubleshooting small issued from time to time. My research would not be complete without the help of the members here on bd.org so I would like to say THANK YOU to all of those that have helped me give Toothless the best beardie home that I can.

I will be upgrading him to a larger home soon as he is getting a little cramped, but he gets out daily for exercise. Either outside in his harness for some sunshine, or running around the house under close supervision. He eats greens and veggies most days with frozen/thawed crickets as his main protein source, supplementing with whatever else I can get my hands on. He has had phoenix worms, reptiworms, waxworms and even a few mealworms in the beginning before I knew the impaction risks. (luckily no harm was done). And most recently superworms. I alternate dusting with calcium, calcium plus D, and multivitamins. He also gets moistened pellet food mixed in his salad. He gets a soak a several times a week and has a water bowl that we are still trying to train him to drink from as well as dripping water on his nose every day.

I use a 10.0 repti-glo uvb and a 75 watt sunglo basking light. My next bulb purchase will most like be the repti-sun 10 as I have read that it is the best, but I had already purchased the repti-glo and he has been doing great with it. Also, he gets outside for natural sunlight on a regular basis, and in the 4 months I have had him, he doesn't have any health issues and is a happy healthy growing beardie.

This is one from when I first brought him home with his first salad!
"Hey, where are my bugs? I command you to give me crickets now!"

He looks great, long + lean, and isn't it funny how they look thin from one angle and the head looks exaggeratedly large, especially since his is all white ! I've seen people post threads on here because they get scared to death when they see their dragon look like that for the first time and wonder what on earth is wrong.....but he's a nice looking dragon.
I like the natural rocks, nice look and the added bonus of being free and can be found so easily.

Thank you! and yes his head is white because it needs to shed! But I have had him for about 4 months so I am used to it by now. Sometimes he does look lean and yet from other angles he looks fat! But I do believe he is a healthy size and growing steadily. I try to give him a complete balanced and varied diet, as well as I can afford. I would love to be able to get some silkworms but they are so expensive, maybe in the future.

Oh and he is some sort of hypo, when he is freshly shed he has beautiful orange markings and sometimes the darker markings look purple. I posted a few pictures, The first one is from a couple of weeks ago, and the second one is from when we first brought him home. The last two pics are from today.

He is definitely one of the most interesting pets I have ever owned.

I absolutely love using natural decor. I have 3 freshwater aquariums and 6 snakes as well as this bearded dragon and my eyes are always open when we are out and about, you never know when you will find something that will serve as a great hide or decor. I always sterilize anything I get from outdoors, but I also find lots of great things at home improvement stores like Home Depot.

I would also like to add that this is his first beginner setup. I got him when he was only about 5 inches from head to tailtip and I honestly did not expect him to grow as quickly as he did! A bigger home, with bigger and better decor is in the works :)

Or maybe could I get this moved to the beardie tales subforum? Can I get a moderator to move it there?

He's so cute, it's crazy how fast they grow. Also, I got mine to drink water by spraying him with a spray bottle every day, and I give him baths often too. He started drinking the water then, and since has discovered his water dish.

That is great that yours discovered the water dish. I have yet to see mine seem even slightly interested in the water dish. I've dropped water in with him facing it, wiggled my fingers in it. Nothing. But he stays hydrated well enough.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
