Hey im leaving to Toronto for a week, im greyhounding it.

Ill be staying with a friend who is a fellow herp lover and has spare tanks and lights and what not.
Im busing in the night so Slegs will probably just be fast asleep the whole way there, 10 hours from NYC.

I was wondering if anybody knew any of the laws and what not concerning the transportation of a lizard.

Since were talking Canada here I dont know if theyll need vet. papers or some sort of permit or if theyll just let me go right on ahead...

Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would think that at the boarder they may give you crap because you are transporting a reptile from the USA! I'm not 100% sure though! Good luck...

I also imagine that they would do something at the border.

Ive done this trip several times before and theyre not exactly super thorough at the customs office with checking every passenger and what not so I probably COULD sneak her by, however, that would risk getting caught and starting tons of ****, the bus possibly leaving me stranded in the canadian border, having to pay out the yingyang for all the stuff they would charge me AND the idea of possible jail time.

DEFINTELY not a good risk to take.

If there is no way I can do this legally then Slegs will just have to be a little bit hungry for a few days.

You would have to get Vet proof of health and sometimes that is not enough, you can't just let him go hungry get a friend or family member to come over once a day and feed him.

Yeah of course im not talking negligent-go-hungry here.

My roomate will make sure she has veggies in her plate at all time BUT she refuses to touch the roaches, with luck I can get a friend to come and do that(cant wait to see the reaction when I show him what hell be feeding her) but thats not 100% hence the "go hungry" part. Failing that my roomie will give her some hard boiled egg.

Shes a grown beardie by now and very healthy and sturdy, NEVER had parasites I thought she had a URI once but she just had extra buggers which got flushed and thats that.

If I had a guarantee that with the Vet proof I could take her no problems I would do it but it seems like its a lot to risk now...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
