Taking him outside/pet store?

I want to take my beardie to the pet store when it warms up. All winter he's been cooped up indoors because of the -30 celcius weather. Today it is +6 degrees. Would it be ok if I put him on a leash, wrapped him in a blankie and brought him to the pet store for about 20 minutes? He would only be outside for a few seconds. I want to get him used to going places while he's young.

That Wong be good for your beardie because it would be about 42 degrees. I'm not sure what it is in Celsius but it needs to be at least 75 degrees to take your beardie out this is because they don't have body heat of their own so a blanket wouldn't help much. I recommend just waiting until it got warmer.

He would be in the blanked only when he is outside for like 10 seconds, and then he would be in a warm pet store for the rest of the time and a heated car on the way home.

Doesn't matter, take it from someone's beardie currently has a respiratory infection that won't go away you don't want to risk it. The normal weather for beardies is 75. Heated or not, I wouldn't take the chance.

Traveling is already sort of scarey for you dragon, especially since he isn't used to it. To get him used to it you'll want it to be as good an experience possible. Being bundled up, hauled around and then in a strange place full if strange animals might be overwhelming.

It's possible to take them around in he winter, but really should only be done if you have too. Ask yourself what he is going to get out of it, if it will be a good experience or just scare and stress him out.

Wait until it warms up, I'd say 70 is ok, since a lot of us keep our houses at that and let out dragons out. I take my dragons out, but don't think id take them to a pet store. I don't know if there are any sick animals, or mites or other nasties he could catch there.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
