Hi all!
My juvenile baby is about 6 months old and is eating, drinking, and acting as he should. I noticed the end of his tail was darker than usual tonight and when I tried to touch it to get a better look he flicked his tail in a clear way that he does not want me to touch it. He normally has no issues with me touching any part of him so that is new and obviously uncomfortable for him.
I do watch him eat and often have the crickets contained for him to catch but nothing is perfect and some do escape. I try to count them as they escape to be able to find them later so I don’t leave them in the tank with him.
Is this tail rot? Or just a bite?? There’s a thinner part on the dark part of his tail and I am worried. If it is tail rot, what should be my next steps? I read warm soaks and potentially pain free neosporin??
Thank you in advance!
