Tail rot?

yesterday i noticed Shenrons tail has darkened a little from the orange and has a kink and very tip of tail which is black. Still eating and acting normal and shed about 2 weeks ago. heres a few before an after pics. If anyone has an answer lemme know please.

Id be interested to see what others say, but my beardie has had the kink at the tip since I bought her home a at a few weeks old. It looked like she had a bad shed as a baby and it got damaged, but after a year, its still like that and perfectly fine. Her tail is kind of like yours where its a tad bit darker than the body. It can change depending on shed cycle.

Im not an expert but i dont see anything alarming?

Ive owned several beardies over the years and noticed many of them have a darkened tail tip as they grow older. I am not sure why but it does not appear to be harmful. I wouldn't worry as long as her next shed goes well.

Yeah I wasnt really worrying to much because Shenron is still acting normal. It was just the sudden change that got my attention. I heard sometimes things darken right before a shed to ill just keep and eye on it. Completly unrelated issue though is i noticed a slight noise coming from the jaw during feeding time. MBD?

MBD usually takes a long time to show so I doubt it but what kind of noise are we talking here? My girls make slight sounds when eating but its nothing more than their chewing and swallowing.

Almost sounds like slight poping when mouth opens an closes. I also am starting to notice a slight over bite on the tip of Shenrons mouth.

Interesting. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or more frequent, go to the vet. I have a rescue dragon whose jaw cracks in the bath sometimes but it's nothing serious.

How often do you give calcium?

5 days a week. Usually the first meal of the day is either phoenix worms or crickets dusted with repashy super foods bearded dragon calcium plus. My uvb is a zilla desert 5 t8 18" bulb. I have a reptisun 10 enroute to be at my house this coming week.

UVB does funny things to calcium absorption. Hopefully the reptisun improves things.

This is my four year old Rosie's tail it has actually darkened with age and there is nothing wrong with it.

Still waiting on the new bulb but shenrons tail is pale now and looking like it will shed within a day or two.
