Tail rot or just going to shed?

The end of Povi's tail is a bit dark, and I thought it may be tail rot, though a few of my friends said that it's probably just because he is going to shed soon.

Should this be treated at all? I really have no idea what the beginning stages of tail rot look like.

Has the end of the tail ever been broken off or injured in any way? The discoloration is most likely because your beardie is going to have a shed soon, does not look like tail rot so I wouldnt worry. beautiful beardie by the way, boy or girl?

Thanks! I'm starting to notice the shed on his tail, so there is a 99.9% chance it's just shed. But thanks! He's a red/orange citrus I also just got another bearded dragon (exactly one month after I got my first bearded dragon), she's a red citrus

I just did a search for this very topic and came across your post - what ended up happening? did it shed? I rescued my 2 boys a year and a half ago and they have always looked like that and have NEVER shed the ends of their tails for me. I've only recently became aware of tail rot. I'm really starting to wonder what I should be doing for them. :?:

My Kio has had a very dark tail for awhile but her tail hasn't been rotting. I think its just the type of beardie they are.
