The skinny lady that I just got was not tooken care of good at all and her tail is cut to the butt. Will that grow back. Do I need to watch for anything such as infection do I put anything on it? The male who had the same thing passed last night but she seems to have more stranght so I hope she will make it.

Also do Gecko eat greens or anything beside insects?

Thanks for replying she seems to be doing better. Her tail is not rotten looking any longer it is a nice pink color. She is eating and just had a nice shed. Oh and she is pooping nicely. I'm still trying to figure more on geckos they seem a lot less difficult then beardys Ive been adding some calcium to her food it said 2 times a week. Is that right?

I'm glad she's doing better!!
You should be dusting with calcium like 4-5 times a week. 1 feeding per day.
unfortunately I don't know much about geckos..

leos do regrow their tails. since they store fat in the tails make sure she stays well fed. you can also put a small dish with calcium powder in the cage and just leave it. theyll go lick it up if and when they need to.

It depends on whether the tail was dropped or cut. If it was chewed off by another animal, by something sharp, or removed as a leg might be removed, then it won't grow back. When threatened, most geckos will "drop" their tails, distracting any creature that may have grabbed its tail or is pursuing it. If the tail has been dropped, it will regrow.

I know that crested geckos will not regrow their tails but it is not a health concern. Most of them in the wild do not have tails. When they drop the tail their bodies seal off the wound in a matter of seconds and no blood loss should occur.

True, but other Rhacodactylus geckos as well as leos can regenerate their tails.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
