Tail bleeding

So recently I just discovered some redness on my beardie a tail which I can't tell if it's blood since it's only a small red dot that looks like skin. When I got him his tail was already cut off. I was just wondering what this could be and what I could do to make it better or how to help it heal

Dab some raw unpasteurized hpney on it. It will help it heal.

Should I be concerned that it's at the tip of the tail where it was cut off ? Can it be a sign of something worse or maybe he just hurt himself ?
Also would tea tree oil help just the same ?

It's possible the skin around the old wound just got dry and cracked which shouldn't be a big deal. I'd still put some manuka honey on it or at least some plain neosporin to help keep it from becoming infected before it closes back up. If it continues to be an issue you may want to keep applying some plain aloe on the area to keep it well moisturized so it doesn't crack again.

If he is on a loose substrate, remove it, you don't want it sticking to the honey or ointment. Also feed him his crickets or other live bugs in a controlled area and, don't leave any in his viv, uneaten.

Thank you ! He has reptile carpet, and I don't feed him in his viv
I had put tea tree oil on him because I heard it helps but I didn't dilute it so I washed it off a couple minutes after because I heard it can be toxic undiluted, should I be concerned ?
Also do I need to dilute the honey ? Thanks for all the help

I'm not sure about the tea tree oil. If you rinsed it off, it should be fine I'd imagine. I don't dilute manuka honey, I just dab it on the wound and let it sit there forming a protective coating and reapply as needed.

I would start your own thread in the health forum to get more visibility, but usually for cuts I recommend applying manuka or raw/unpasteurized honey to the area to protect it from infection. If you don't have that available you can use plain neosporin without any pain reliever in it. Keep the area as clean as possible to help it heal. If you can provide photos it would be helpful as well. You can upload photos here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ and post them to your thread using the XIMG button.

PLEASE DON'T USE TEA TREE OIL ON YOUR PETS!!! While it is safe for humans to use to heal skin ailments and fits, it is highly toxic to birds, reptiles, etc.! I know several people who have killed their parrots and Beardies using tee tree oil on them!!

Just use Neosporin or a generic version of a triple antibiotic cream, or if you want to use a natural remedy then use only raw, unpasteurized honey, NOT REGULAR HONEY, IT WILL DO NO GOOD! It must be raw and unpasteurized to have antibiotic properties. You can find it at health stores and some grocery stores like Whole Foods, Wegmans, Harris Teeter, etc.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
