I have searched and scanned this site as well as others and have not found the answer I'm looking for. I'm going to be building an enclosure for a future beardie. I want everything done and running properly before getting one. I like the look of a little taller enclosure, somewhere between 24 and 30 inches, so there can be more levels of rock/wood for climbing. Do to space constraints, the tank will be 42x20.
To get the UVB to extend deeper into the tank, I am looking at the Sunblaster fixture with the reflector.

Without the reflector, I have seen it said thet they should be able to come within 6 - 8 inches of the light. What is a good but safe distance with a reflector?
