Swollen toe and outside plants

I have two questions concerning my 2 year old beardie
1. I got him about 3 months ago when he was going through a shed and recently noticed he has a swollen toe. I do not know whether he has always had this toe or it just recently occurred. I'm wondering whether it may be a retained shed or something else. He doesn't seem to have pain and his behavior has not changed. Should I be concerned ?
2. I've always had trouble feeding him veggies because he always wants to have insects. The only way I can get him to eat veggies is if I put him outside in the sun to eat. However lately he's been ignoring his collard greens and prefers to eat some weeds that are outside and I was wondering whether these sorts of weeds are toxic ?

It looks like his small toe is shedding. It's swelling up to help loosen the skin. It should go back to normal when the shed is done.

I'm not exactly sure what that weed is. It looks like maybe some kind of clover. I doubt it's toxic and is probably fine for him to eat unless the area has been sprayed with pesticides. You could try planting a garden with some goodies for him and when the plants come up let him pick through them if he wants. It may not work but it's worth a shot.

--- I've no idea if it's edible , I'd err on the side of caution and not let beardie nibble it unless you see native birds, lizards or small animals nibbling on it as it may be toxic.

Worth taking a sample to the nearest nursery and asking the staff there about it , they probably sell it for high sun ground covers and they will likely know for sure if it's toxic or not
- I found this list http://ucanr.edu/sites/poisonous_safe_plants/Safe_Plants_by_Common_Name/.
is listed as safe to eat herb.

Thank you for the help! Does it matter that his shed was three months ago and barely shedding now ?
Na, mine sheds in a very weird manner as well, sometimes takes her a month and a half to complete a full shed. She's so dramatic, such an attention hound, lol!
Yours could be starting a new shed also.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
