Swollen Eyelid/Eye

I got my bearded dragon a couple days ago from someone on craigslist. Hes 3 years old and when i bought him i didnt notice his right eye stays close unless hes eating. I took a closer look and saw his eyelid and whole eye was bigger than the other and i dont know if the little kid they had taking care of the beardie poked him in his eye or if he burned it on their basking light (they said he frequently tired to climb on it). I could tell they were not taking very good care of him like i am now. They also only had one light in the cage and it was not even a reptile light. It was one you would put in a reqular light fixture. Can someone shed some light on what might have happend to him or whats going on? Thanks

Sorry no one got back to you! I would assume since it's only one eye, it may possibly be an injury or eye infection. Has he opened it yet? What does his eyeball itself look like? Is there anything oozing out of it?

Have you tried flushing the eye with saline?

Do you have a vet you could take him to?

He opens it when he eats. doesnt appear to be oozing i have not tried flushing and im trying to get in touch with a vet soon.

How is your beardies eye doing today? Were you able to get him to a vet?
