I just got a new enclosure that's 4' x 17.5" x 16.5" and my current 100w zoomed basking spotlight isn't cutting it. My old tank was a 20g long and it would get around 105 at the basking spot and 85 in the cool side. Now I get about 92 at basking spot and 72 in the cool side. My fixture is rated for 150w and I was wondering what bulb would I need to get an adequate temperature. The new tank is kept open and the light is about 14" away from the basking spot. I'm looking to get some kind of household flood light since it's cheaper but I'm not sure what wattage I should get. Also, should it be incandescent or halogen?

Thanks!

So I picked up a PAR20 50w halogen flood light that a lot of people her seem to favor. It kept the basking spot at a perfect 82 degrees 14" away! I'm going to exchange it with a PAR30 75w and see what that gets me...

So the PAR30 75w was a disappointment and only got to the mid-nineties. Picked up a PAR38 90w and it's been holding up well at 104

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
