Survival rate of bearded dragons after parasite treatment?

I think my beardie has parasites and I'm taking him to the vet today. What is the likelyhood that he will survive? I'm not sure how common parasites are but I'm very worried. Is there a high survival rate for beardies who have parasites and go to the vet for treatment?

Parasitic infections are fairly common and quite treatable. The medication often causes upset stomach and can wipe out beneficial gut bacteria so I suggest providing a probiotic along with the medication provided by the vet. Bene-Bac for birds & reptiles is a good one as is Acidophiliz+.

Yep, parasites should be easy and safe to treat, just don't let the vet give ivermectin as its been know to kill reptiles.

No flagyl is flagyl. Did your dragon get a diagnosis? Flagyl can be a bit harsh but there are way to deal with that.

The vet told me he has a lot of bacteria in his poop. I was thinking about buying soy yogurt or bene-bac. Since I cannot find acidophiliz+

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
