I'm in RI and need to see where I can find all the materials I will need to make this enclsure. I need to be able to split it in half when I move so I can more easily remove and assemble. I'm thinking the 4' piece to be 2 2' pieces supported by brackets.

Anyone know if I should pay someone 250 or find all supplies myself?

it depends....to me, one of the best things about having Elliott is the hobby that is inherently attached. I love being able to build things for him and his enclosure but, I also have the tools, experience, and materials to do just about anything at any given point because I work in a custom exhibit shop. If you don't have all stuff, it can be very hard to build something like this and expensive too! I will say that finding someone to do it for 250 isnt that bad if you ask me....just make sure they pay attention to the details and give a good looking viv that you are completely happy with

I'm seeing if my father by chance can assist me with cutting, assembly. Its mostly drawn out. I maybe a 28yr old female but my dad taught me well...I just don't do this stuff like I used to. I would love to have my daughters and I help me.

I think the price I'm given is fair....just it lacks that ingredient of ME accomplishing it. However money is money w/ little experience I could end up spending more than I want to..

I'm going to Fl. Keys July 3,4,5,6 and plan on grabbing some wood down there to bring back home. haha.

Once drawn out is anyone here to help me figure out what tools I'll need?

It can be built with a table saw(or get someone to make the cuts for you), hole saw, drill, drill bits, screws, glue, jigsaw

I have a similar requirement for a couiple of our vivs for larger animals - the ability to knock down the viv for transportation. After trying a few different methods I've settled on using pocket hole joinery, it's easy to set up with an inexpensive jig (http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=5985&filter=kreg) and allows for knowck down or modification of the viv at a later date should you desire. Post some pics when you've finished I love seeing all the different ideas folks come up with.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
