Hi, I was wondering, who came up with this dust with calcium 5xs a week and use a multivitamin 2x a week? Im wondering because the nutrtional chart that we all use >> http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html actually says at the top to dust WAY more than that. IDK if anyone else has noticed this, or if theres a good reason we cut it back from that many times or what? Ive been doing the 5x calcium/ 2x multivitamin... But Im wondering if we started doing that bc its easier? or is there a justified reasoning behind it? My beardies seem perfectly healthy, but If the 5 and 2 thing is just a bare minimum maybe I should up it? Just curious, I had noticed it a while back, and havent come across anther post asking anything similar.

As much as I hate to say it because it just causes confusion, The beautiful dragons site is not the one stop go to for all needs bearded dragon. Just like many other sources, there are good recommendations they make, and their are bad.

You can believe which you like, but I haven't seen that site updated in a LONG time, and this site is constantly being updated with knowledge and peoples experience.

I can tell you from experience that supplementing calcium any more than 5 times a week starts effecting the BM's with hard chalky discolored poos.

The poo can tell you a lot about how you are doing with your current supplementation schedules, and that is what has refined the current recommendation of 5 and 2 a week.
