I jut ordered a large shipment of supers and i am for sure going to breed them, i figured that i wanted to brance out from just the dubias (i have a good conly of them now almost to 1000). If i feed supers every once an a while i can get my roach colony much bigger. Any who, lets cut to the chase, i only know what i am doing from youtube videos and some how i think the xperts are in here not out there. so with out further adue. Plase shoot me some lovely intel and hopefully answer these questions.
1). Temps from 65-85F what do you keep yours at for breeding?
2). How many beetles do you think i should make? I want to have at least 400 worms in each batch.
3). Can my bin be clear and let light through? or is it better to keep them all in the dark?
4). Humidity?
5). How many eggs does a female drop in 1 shot? How long do you think is long enough untill i remove the beetles to let the eggs hatch?
6). The beetles live 5-6 weeks right?
7). Off topic question, do any of you raise multiple kinds of feeder worms or is 2 a good enough variety for you all? (dubias included in my variety)
If you can think of anything i might want to be aware of go ahead and assume that i don't know and tell me all about it. I though i knew all about roaches till lance showed me the truth, now my dubia are breeding like never before lol.
