Superworms for a juvenile?

My beardie is a couple months old (3-4) and probably around 6-10" in length. The space between his eyes is 1/2".

My question is : can I feed him super worms if I cut them up / get smaller sizes?

I keep seeing everywhere that you shouldn't feed superworms to dragons under 16" but I don't see how it would be a problem if they are cut to be less than the space between his eyes.

And yes I know if I cut them then they will die, but my beardie is hand fed and always eats the crickets on the end of the tongs even if it's not moving. (He also eats greens by hand.)

So, superworms okay? I'm struggling with crickets. They're too expensive to get for the amount that die on me. I've spent over $100 on crickets this month and Id say half of that was spent on crickets that ultimately died before I could feed them to my beardie. Not to mention they smell horrible and it's impossible to order just the right size without having half of them be entirely too big.

I've been feeding super worms to my dragon since he was about 7" and there is no issues with them, in fact I've fed multiple dragon super when they were smaller and never had any problems.

You absolutely need to buy small supers though, cutting up large ones won't work. The outer shell will still be too big around. I suggest getting a cup of smalls from petco and see how your dragon does with them before you order a large amount.
Start by feeding 3 a day for a couple days to make sure he can digest them ok, if he does then you can start increasing the amount daily.
My dragon is around 12" now and eats 10+ at each meal, he is fed them 2 times a day. You still should feed a variety of insects. I also feed dubia or occasionally crickets. Now that he is bigger, I plan on getting some waxies for treats.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
