Hey everyone,
I just got 3 tiny temperature/humidity meters soo now im all happy measuring it all around. Im trying to create as best as possible environment for my feeders. Right now 3 types are in questions. Mealworms, superworms and Blaptica dubia roaches.
Right now i have mealworms and superworms at 25C ( 77 F ) and 50% humidity and Blaptica dubias at about 31C and 42% ( i am trying to gently lift this to about 50%, but i have to be very carefull. Cause 2 days ago it was 46%, i was slowly trying to lift it, in 5 hours it went to 56%, i went to sleep and in the morning it was a whooping 71%, cartons in the box were wet and all, soo i have to be extremely carefull to slowly lift it to 50% now ).
Ok soo here is your part. I need to know best temperature and humidity for: superworms - 1 for breeding box, 1 for supers growing, same for mealworms and dubias. I wont be able to change temperature much, but i will be able to adjust humidity. For instance, superworm and mealworm bettles like higher humidity cause they need it for breeding and also eggs need it, but when they all hatch, maybe they like lower humidity. You dont have to be exact to the point, but maybe round it around at 5% for humidity and 2C for temperature.
ps: my room and wardrobe humidity is 30%. Uptill now i didnt have lid on any of the boxes ( soo about 30% in all boxes ). And superworm bettles in over a month didnt get even 1 worm or egg ( i searched very well and yes, since in past years i had plenty of trouble with supers, i can spot the tinest egg/larva ). Then i put a lid on and came back in about 2 hours and i found prolly 30 eggs in different places. And since supers are tropical its probably that they didnt lay eggs because humidity was too low. Ok i will stop talking now and await your reply.
