Superworm feeding?

I was wondering if I could feed my female 14" beardie super worms.


I read that its 16" but I would really love another alternative for when I'm out of crickets, swell as something to fatten her up more.

She's just over 14" (like i said) and is 7 months old.

Also could someone tell me exactly what vegetables they feed their bearded dragon? Please don't say collard greens, because there are too many things in that category, I would like to know the specifics. What do you feed on what day?

If you feed smaller supers and not many at a time I should be ok. I don't like to recommend them for young dragons cause my booger decided he hated his healthier bugs after the super worms individual dragons may be different about that though.

Collards, in the U.S. and most regions applies to the smooth broad leaf variety. Most of the dark leafy greens (with the exception of spinach and chard) are good though. There are some feeding guides out there that some other posters will link, but I prefer to get what's fresh at the store and offset low calcium things with plain calcium powder when needed. This helps provide variety and thus a more balanced diet.

Hello,

If you did feed superworms to your dragon, smaller ones are recommended. I agree, usually don't recommend them until they are at least 16 inches in length due to their curved intestines that makes it harder for them to pass things through.
You can rotate insects weekly, or keep a few on hand to give variety weekly whatever is easiest.
Crickets or roaches are great staples & then you can give silkworms, hornworms or butterworms as another variety, too. Since he is still under one year you can give basically as many feeders as he would like right now, to help her finish growing.
There really isn't any set thing that you need to feed on any particular day. You can feed the same greens or insects for several days per week, then rotate to something else for a few days. They usually don't get bored with their food quite that fast in just a few days.
