Superworm feeding quesiton

Hi all. I'm thinking of using superworms as the main feeder for my 9 month old (Kraken). He's been eating about 20-30 crickets every day now. Can anyone tell me about how many superworms (large) is the norm for a 9mth old to eat? And do you think this would be a good choice? I'm in Ontario, and can't find reptiworms here. Other worm could be butterworm - but they're much more expensive. Is it okay to only feed supers, or should I still keep a few crickets on hand too? Thanks!

How long is your baby? I think supers are only recommended for dragons 16''-17'' long - hopefully someone will correct me should I be wrong

I rotate between supers and crickets. Tiki will get around... oh... 5-6 supers a day (she's about a year and 4 months) and massive amounts of salad which she destroys. Of course my Husband is weak. Sometimes she may get 7 a day, LoL.... He just enjoys treating her.

Variety IS the spice of life I always try to keep her open to a variety of protein sources so she won't get used to just one, and turn another down should they be out of the former one day.

Yes you should only feed supers to your dragon if they are over 16 inches.

You should not feed solely superworms, you should feed supers and crickets if you can. The reason is growing beardies need a lot of protein, but superworms also have a lot of fat so you want to balance it out by giving some protein via crickets too.
You won't be able to get enough protein with just superworms without your dragon getting too fat.

I think 7 or 8 a day is good, as long as you are also giving crickets. Anymore than that and its a pretty fatty diet.

Oh shoot... I was really hoping to get rid of the crickets. Thanks so much for the info. Kracken is about 18 inches now. Is there a certain worm that would suffice over any crickets at all - or am I just dreaming? Thanks again!

Silkworms, butterworms, and repti/phoenix/calci-worms all would work well as staples.
