My beardie is about ten months old and is addicted to superworms. She will eat her greens as well but won't even touch crickets. Ive run out of worms and am wondering if i should buy more or should try and get her on more of a cricket diet with some variety like other types of worms? Im thinking of ordering a variety pack online with some different types of worms to see if she will like that. Also how in the world do i get her to like crickets again?? I usually put her in a tub and dump some crickets in there but she just jumps out of the tub without touching her crickets!

Yeah, good luck with that...

It's not uncommon for Beardies to abandon crickets in favor of bigger, better, tastier bugs. And it's not necessarily a bad thing - superworms are good for them, too.

Have you tried Dubia roaches with her yet?

I have the same issue with mine, except she won't even touch her veggies. She hasn't eaten veggies and barely any crickets for 2 weeks. So I gave in and bought more superworms and she devoured them. Problem is, supers are way more expensive than crickets where I live... :x :banghead: If your beardie is anything like mine, good luck ever getting her to eat crickets again. Mine would rather starve. Wtf.

That's why I try to avoid feeding supers now... Dudley was addicted to them for the longest time too! They're beardie crack pretty much.

It might take a while, but just keep offering crickets/roaches/healthy worms and veggies until they are hungry enough to eat them. Dudley held out for a week before he was finally hungry enough to eat something other than supers, but since I've stopped using them as a staple, he eats his veggies daily and eats any feeders I put in front of him. He still gets supers once in a while, but I usually stick to roaches now.

I have 6 beardies and I use supers as my staple feeder. I order online from joshsfrogs.com. He's alot cheaper than the pet store or other sites. I order a bunch (2000) at a time to make the shipping more reasonable. However, even with shipping joshsfrogs.com still comes Out cheaper than buying cups of 25 or 50.

My dragons are all big, healthy and beautiful because of the supers. 2 of my males have outgrown my scale! Here I thought a 600g scale would last forever! Supers in large quantities are easy to care for.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
