super heavy breathing and acting weird

So today when I took my little guy out her beard was a blacker than normal. She didn't have stress marks or dark color on her body and she wasn't being agressive towards me. So I figured I would give her a bath to calm her down. She swam to the deeper part and swam back to where she could touch. She than just stopped closed her eyes and seemed like she was dying so I quickly dried her off and put her back in the tank under the basking light where she came back but was breathing really heavy. When she breaths you can see her ribs. Idk if I should worry or just let it go and see how she is tomorrow.

Yesterday she ate alot and her belly looked pretty full today and hasn't eat today also. Should I be conserned?

She is in a 40gal tank with a 6in girl, a 8in girl, and a 9 1/2 in girl. She is also 6in. The 2 6in are from the same clutch. Should I upgrade my tank to a 75 or should I get another 40 and separate the 2 bigger ones and the smaller ones?

Sometimes they breath heavily after baths and after physical activity. If the heavy breathing doesn't continue, she's probably fine .

Hi. Your definitely going to need to separate. Beardies are territorial and will fight. An adult needs a 40gallon minium per beardie.
