suoerworm beetle hole in rear

i have my beetles in a meduim sized-critter keeper and there is 3 in it, one of my black beetles has a hole in its rear and is dead, should i leave cause of eggs or throw it alway, also 2 are orangish and the dead one is black, is the colors mean male/female

throw the dead one away and no, the color difference has nothing to do with gender. When the beetles hatch, they are a pale color and take a few days to harden up and turn black. The orange ones aren't quite hardened yet.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
