I will definitely post them when I get them (and no kidding are they not cheap! $150 - wow!). I only lasted 2 hours at work. I just had to get back home with her. She's still got a dark beard and just looks like she doesn't feel well. I gave her a soak as soon as I got home. Really hope I get lucky and the blood results get back today!

Oh no, new urate and it has bright yellow at the end of it - that's liver or kidney problems I think? URG so wish labs would have come back today!

I read this just as soon as I got home, but had to process it a bit. I have no idea what to think about the yellow urate.Tracie says they can handle kidney issues, and I know they use milk thistle for liver. Tracie is our resident expert on all things beardie. I wish the diagnosis today had been more definitive, and that the vet had found an easy fix. I guess I'll just have to wait with you for the blood results. Do send them to Tracie, though, or post them when you get them. She finds things some vets miss. Hang in there!

Vet got an initial, but not full lab report back today on Puffy. He ordered a more in depth look at whatever it is can show bone marrow problems which won't be in until Monday.

He did say liver levels were up but not alarmingly high. He had also looked at the liver during the sonogram yesterday and nothing stood out to him. Kidney function was fine but white and red blood cell counts were low. He prescribed baytril for possible infection causing the anemia (8 units twice a day) and set her up to get fluids at their other office location (which is done now). Also said to get at least 1/2 cc of baby food into her per day if I could force it on her. SO waiting again til Monday.

I'm not going to be able to get the initial report or full report till Monday. He was out of the office but had another vet call him when the results came in so he could call me. She's had one dose of baytril today. I have acidophiliz + but I'm not sure when to give it to her in relation to the baytril so that they don't counteract each other. Does anyone know?

Thanks. Yea, it's a possibility it could be leukemia but won't know more until the pathologist looks. It could be something else still (which I'm HOPING). I'm glad it's the weekend and I can spend plenty of time with her if the results come back bad :(.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
