Yep variety is key look for collards and turnips as well the flexing of the beard is normal - mine do it in the morning after waking up- check out the feeding board and look for the nutrition website topic-- it will give ideas of what else to feed

I didn’t really used to bathe her much up until these past few days. And now I’m doing it more frequently because (aside from the fact that she seems to REALLY be enjoying the water) promptly after her bath, she’ll happily eat her greens and poop.
She eats her poop‽‽‽ Now beardie coprophagia would concern me.
(Kidding! )

I think I’m going to try to get to the store today and grab some kale. She’s never had it, and maybe she just wants something new. I offered cilantro yesterday for the first time, but she wasn’t interested in even tasting it.
Interesting... mine's just the opposite. Cilantro is one of the few greens he will eat semi-consistently, but offering kale all last week only got me the stinkeye.

Mine's playing with his beard too, like all the puppies we've raised played with their voices--especially when they were changing from puppy to dog. All of a sudden, the squeaky little, "Yip" becomes, "WOOF!"

I’ll just have to keep working with her while she lets me know what she wants.
Good luck with that... They're not easy like dogs & cats.

Hahah! I would be quite concerned if she was eating her poop, too!! Thankfully, our issues are not quite so severe.

I think she’s starting to get back on track a bit. Today I skipped the bath again to see how she was feeling without it. It took her a few hours but she did eventually eat some kale. I enticed her with a couple slices of asparagus on top, and she definitely picked those out first, but then ate some pieces of kale. She seemed to really enjoy it! And she LOVES the silkworms, she pretty much inhales them. Glad she only needs a couple of those or they’d be gone very quickly! She also pooped (first time since Sunday)!! So I’m feeling less worried now. Tomorrow we’re going to try some arugula, and I might try offering some cilantro again :)

Cookie seems to be doing better. She’s eating and pooping again.

However, yesterday and today I’m noticing two new things-
One being that she’s letting out little poops (separately from her normal poops)
Two that she’s EXTREMELY unsettled. She was glass surfing for HOURS yesterday. So much that i could hardly focus while trying to work from home. Today she’s back it again... but she’s also digging. She pulled up her carpet and is trying to dig under it, she’s digging at everything relentlessly.

And I’m reading these are signs that she could be gravid! Is this possible?! If so, what should I do for her? It seems like she needs something to dig into pronto.

Wow yes its possible she is gravid --- I would get a plastic tote and set up a laybox for her she is young to be gravid but if she is that frantic it is possible I guess
LAYBOX
potting soil that doesn't have any type of
chemicals or fertilizers in it, mixed with play sand, etc. Be sure it is at least 10-12 inches deep & that
the mix is damp enough to where it will hold up to her making a burrow but not sopping wet to
have standing water. you can try this and leave her in it --- I would put in some sort of hide or shoe box cut out so she can get in it and dig gives her privacy - and take and put her basking light above you can use a clamp to clamp to side of the tote or set the screen off her tank on top and then the basking light - something to keep her warm

Ok, I threw together a less-than-perfect lay box for her using a plastic storage bin and some dampened all-natural play sand.

She has been digging a bit but she also seems confused about being in there. How long should she be left in there for?

I would give her a hide- watch her leave her in there for a few hrs- then put her back in her tank--- if she starts digging again fevershly put her back in the laybox- have you tried to feel for eggs?

I have. There are a couple spots that feel like little lumps, but not a lot. She also doesn’t appear to have a suddenly larger belly, so I’m not sure. This constant digging is just alarming, so I’ll keep trying the lay box and see what happens.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
