Substrate......?

I need advice on substrate for my little buddys condo! Ive had this little fella since mid March and have been using ZooMed ECO Carpet from day one. I change the carpet every two weeks at $10 a pop (expensive) and was wondering what the majority of you folks use and or suggest? Pro & Cons...........

NEXT...... Since Ive had Roscoe, I have up-sized his terratium twice and he is now in a 29L. He measures almost 15"........ When would you suggest going bigger and what size?

paper towels, non adhesive shelf liner or newspapers. I prefer ceramic or slate tile since clean up is easy, and it keeps their nails filed any loose substrate is a no no.

40 gallon minimum.

So, are you saying not to use the carpet, or just advising on a cheaper alternative?

you can use carpet, it's just more expensive like what you said earlier

i dont know why you have to change the carpet so often? just pick up the loose poop and such daily? should have to clean the carpet im assuming once every 6 months or so?

DEFINITELY slate tile. It's the best. You pay for it once, it's easy to clean, it can't hurt the dragon.

Just bought some eco carpet from zoo med...was ten bucks...see how this goes..

You can just stick the carpet in the washer/dryer. You don't need to throw it out every 2 weeks... ?

I don't like that carpet even if you pick up the poop immediately bacteria is in the fibers. I use the stick down tiles so easy to clean with spray after my beardie goes to the bathroom.

ya I dont like this repti carpet I bought. I had to cut it and its all bumpy and around the edges sticks up so the crickets can get under neath it. Im going to home depot in a bit to get some tile or something. Just not sure how I will be able to measure it precisely.

oh.. is a vinyl or a laminate type floor ok?

I did use slate but I switched it out for the vinyl stick down squares. I use a razor to cut them to fit it is really simple.

here is my new , sand free enclosure.. got the tile for only 8 bucks! home depot!

just need to get some greens in there next.
