Substrate (or lack of)

Is it ok to not use substrate and just leave the bottom of the tank bare wood?

Spike's taken a liking to the taste of his repticarpet so I've taken it out, but it'll be a day or 3 until I can get something else he'll not be able to eat! I'm thinking slate tiles, cause his claws are starting to hurt.

Hmm a carpet eater?

I would use tiles, if the wood happens to get worn or splinters you may see issues out of it.

I'm not thinking of leaving him like this indefinately, it's on my 'urgent' list of things to do but it's then end of my pay month and we all know how that feels!

Does anyone have suggestions on what i can seal the tiles into the tank with, so when he poops it doesn't go through the cracks?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
