I have no idea why he does this, but he does it quite often.
He'll hunker down low, below the rim of the bowl, and sneak up on the bugs/salad/worms inside,
then peak over the rim, dive in (face plant) and chow down.
I have no idea why he does this either, but lately it's his morning ritual instead of climbing his tower and warming up under his basking light. He may stay this way for hours, and it's just this one plant (out of 20 or so). “Praise to you almighty plant god. Oh lord, oooh you are so big. So absolutely huge. Gosh, I’m really impressed down here I can tell you. Forgive me, O Lord, for this, my dreadful toad-ying and barefaced flattery. But you are so strong and, well, just so super. Fantastic. Amen. Gimme bugz!"

Is this what a guilty beardie looks like?
He was just sitting/posing like this, and stayed long enough for me to shoot the pic...
Chubby Lizard?
It's been there for 2 hours so far (and counting...) :laughhard:
DW keeps walking by to check, and cracks up each time. She wants to see how long it'll last.
Two Hours Later... After 4 hours, he got full of beans for some reason. Hungry? Spring Fever? :dontknow:
He climbed up into the basil forest, rubbed up against some plants, nibbled/ate some echeveria, and came out sans "Klingon". Later he glass-surfed, trying to pull the glass door open from one side. I opened it a bit to see what would happen (expecting him to run away as usual) and he jumped out! Fortunately, I was fast enough, and caught him in mid-air. I put him back in and soon he was trying the same thing again, so I took him out for some taming time. He was much mellower than usual. Maybe the taming is working? :dontknow:
