so just wondering if this is normal... charlie's stress marks seem to come and go alot..now mind you i did wake up and hour late for wake up/ feeding time this morning so that might be it.. but also he has yet to poop today and normaly there is a big poop for me first thing when i see him in the morning!..
his temps are 100 in basking spot and 85-90 at night. i did move his tree though yesterday because i thought he would want to get closer to his basking spot then i realised this morning it would get to hot if he did! so i moved it back.. =( silly me -.- what could account for charlies stress/not stressed ..even as i type this his stress marks are fading.. what gives? id rather see my baby with a white tummy all the time!

Sierra seems to have stress come and go thorought the day too. Although she is having some problems pooping so I think that is what is wrong with mine. Is there a lot of traffic near his tank? It could be the tank shifts when someone walks by and that might be stressing him out

Gaz does this when she settles down to take a nap she makes her own little bed.She does this sand or no sand at first every time I would go "oh crud she's going to take a poopie right on the carpet"
I am also having the same problem as you with the stressmarks coming and going if you find the answer let me know because I am getting stressed out at both my beardies stressmarks lol

I am happy to read that other people are having the same thing. Sierra still does it through the day but nothing seems to be stressing her out at the time.... I guess we are all slaves!!!!

Wow your night time temps are really high. Is that because the temps in your house are that high? They really should be not much higher than 75 at night.

Stress marks come and go...sometimes they get annoyed when thye have to poo, if they are sheading if you move things around in the tank...it is not too mcuh to worry about. However, i do suggest you get your night time temps down if you can as it can cause thermoregulation problems as well as dehydration.

About night time temps.. I heard as long as there is a temp difference, and it is not under 70 its ok.... ??

I noticed when Sierra wants a bath she darkens her beard while laying in her water dish and then is happy to be tossed into the warm water

Acctualy the night time temps can go into the low 60's (comfortabley). I have found that they seem much more happier in the morning if you keep the night time temps around 70 deg. Lower than that they are much slower and more grumpy in the morning and it takes them alot longer to get up and moving around. It is also better on thier immune system if you keep the night time temps in the 70's. Many people keep them at around 65-68 deg at night, which is fine. However, keeping them around 70-75 at night they are less likey to wear down the immune system which fights off coccidia and other parasites. In fact when a dragon has coccidia it is offten reccomended that you raise your temps around 5 degs to help aid in boosting the immune system.

You dont want them too high at night because they offten seem to not go into as deep of sleep. Most dragons will find the coolest part of the tank to go sleep in. if they are too hot in one spot they will offten wake up and move to a cooler spot. :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
