Stress marks when basking.

My 6 week old beardie is turning darker and showing very dark stress marks when basking. Once she moves down she lightens up and the stress marks pretty much go away. Her basking log offers temp ranges from 96 to 110 and her favorite spot is around the 98 to 100 degree area. She is spending about 50% of her day basking and the rest of time is running around, climbing and just hanging out. Warm side of viv is around 88, the cool side about 76. She eats greens pretty good and twice today ate about 7 or 8 3/8 inch crickets before losing intrest. She has pooped twice today, looks normal.

I'm assuming the turning dark is just a basking thing?

still no answer as to the stress marks, but i had a couple other issues with behavior too.

I think she's darkening up to absorb more heat maybe (?). She only does it when basking.

i have read that somewhere too. that is really exactly what mine does as well so i am assuming its not something to worry about too much.

It could be trying to warm up. I wouldn't see it as a problem since they aren't always there and do lighten up. Mine has them in the morning and at night. No worries
