Stress marks for no apparant reason?

Here lately i've noticed Odin acting a little erratic, bouncing around his cage and particularly jumpy when i get him out. I have also noticed a very major change in his color. He went from being a bright yellow to more of a dark brown color. Nothing in his viv has been changed, hes eating fine, pooing fine. Is there something in the air im just not catching onto?
EDIT: He has also grown a half inch in the last week! Must be doing something right.

is he near a window or is anything near his cage that could be scaring him?

Hes about 10ft from a window that has a shade on it all the time. Cage is pretty simple, lights, log, rock. Although i did find a single baby cricket while searching his cage. Could this single cricket be bothering him in his sleep possibly and making him have a bad day in general?

the crickets usually bite them while they sleep. so maybe

When I had my baby he had "stress" marks untill he was about 6 months and you can still see them a small bit and he is almost a year old.
