Strange tail shed?

These last few days I have noticed Boba Fett's tail starting to exhibit symptoms of shedding, getting paler itchy ect... well a few days ago I noticed the shed is coming off from the top down, instead of the normal bottom up... I will post some pics I tried to get with him, but he was getting impatient with me... What should I do? I am really worried it might hurt him, even if he doesnt seem to mind.

please help me out! Atleast tell me its normal @_@ so I can stop freaking out!! I have been afraid to let the kids hold him just in case they accidentally hurt his tail... Kids and Boba Fett are both not happy with me because of it!!


Also I think we should add a "Liz's stupid questions because she is freaking out" discussion topic xD or atleast "shedding" to the lists of topics

Seems to be regular shedding to me. Let the kiddies hold him all they want!

That's the "strange thing" about shedding...I don't think a "normal shed" even exists...if he's acting fine and the tip isn't black (which I didn't see) I would say it's all good

Shedding is such a stress for all of us...I get stressed EVERY shed and it always works itself out just fine

Good point KristineM. I have seen all types of sheds go on over the years. I have seen my dragon's tail shed just like that at one point and everything turned out just fine!

ok PHEW!!!! lol had me worried!!! He is sitting on his log looking at me like "COME ON!! I KNOW YOU CAN SEE ME!!" Im gonna bring him out and let him play with his kids!!

I know I say this all teh time but I can't believe how smart they are!!! They r like little dogs! haha Boba Fett LOVES being out of his cage, as long as he is with the kids... He was playing in the dirt with the kids the other day it was so funny. He is constantly in with the kids

I've had SO many "freak out" moments over shedding (and anything else out of the ordinary, as I think they make us all a bit crazy) but really...shedding is always "weird" anyway. Isn't it funny how they can let you know JUST what they want? Isn't it even funnier how we ALWAYS try to make sure they get it?

Spoiled little babies...always getting the parents all riled up! Let him out with the kids, haha! I love that!

I swear he doesnt think he is a bearded dragon! Just another kid!!!! haha! I have a small bridge made coming from inside his cage to the window sill so he can go to his window whenever he pleases! So spoiled!!!

My gosh! My dragons r trying to give me a heart attack!!(even more than BOTH my boys!!)) if its not 1 doing something off its the other! I swear they are in kahoots! Boba Fett will do something unnerving then the next week Dragonite is like MY TURN! hahaha! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

I can relate to that! I only have one beardie at the moment but he has given us a good scare from time to time. He's starting his second round if antibiotics Friday morning. I do have a True Fire Skink who can get me a bit worked up and of course two young children.

I agree...at times I think all FOUR of them are out to make me crazy

My Draco seems to shed every 3 weeks. Last night I came home from work and he had the whole side of his face shed hanging off his spikes on the side of his head. It was driving him crazy. I felt so bad for him that I just had to see if I could help him out with it. Thankfully, it pulled off real easy. I know, I am not supposed to assist, but the poor guy was going crazy.

HAHA Dont for get husbands/boyfriends to this mix!!! I have a 6 year old and a 5 year old along with my beardie drama! I gotta admit life is always fun! :lol:
