Strange Musings

Sometimes when I am taking care of or spending time with my dragons, I find myself thinking some pretty strange things...

Like...have you ever noticed that Superworms living in oatmeal, look a lot like Frank Herbert's Spice Worms, from the Dune Novels? They are huge and they come to the surface for apples....they really freak me out! I use barbeque tongs to pick them up.

And, I talk to my dragons like they completely understand me...even scold them like they are kids when they are doing something like running off to explore.

Or, in the grocery store tonight, I was excited to find some fresh arugala and then started fretting if I should buy it because I couldn't remember its status as a food item on the Beautiful dragon food list.

Anyone else thinking these weird things?

i scold my dragon when hes bad too i'm so glad i'm not the only one!!! the ohter day he puffed at me and I was like... "no, no bad phoenix, no puffing at your mommy" and he kinda listened, but not a whole lot lol hahahahahahah
as far as the foods... how about the guys on here were nice enough to copy the list for me (i cant view it, government computer) and i now have a copy i carrry with me

Well, my superworms don't come in oatmeal they are in some dirt. I hold the container near Sierra because I am scared of them, I have also been caught talking to Sierra often and to the crickets. I am so happy to see that I am not the only "weirdo" (according to my best friend)!

I talk to mine all the time! LOL! I am probably going to be known as the crazy lizard lady soon.

I take Louie every where I can. She loves it, and I love having her with me! She is a great conversation piece! I just had her up at school, outside, for the school art show. Met two new people that have beardies, and tons of kids got to see her.


I talk to baby Mickey too. Find myself using baby talk way too much. LOL

I guess I'll jump in on the weirdo train....

I talk to my dragons like they are kids and I am pretty sure that atleast one of them completely understands me. Here's why:
Grim is "the" dragon-man of the house and is often running around as he pleases and running the house. This day started like any other, he was running around the kitchen floor while I straightened up. I would toss him a worm ever so often to stalk and he'd pounce them, eat'um and be on his way. I'd already cleaned the floor prior to him being let out. I get done and look at my nice clean floor and there are little worm heads and tails in various places. In a stern motherly tone if voice I said.. "Grim get in here and clean up your mess!" to which he stopped what he was doing cocked his head looked at me and walked over to the various parts ate them gave me a "there are you happy look" and went back to what he was doing.... My roommates kid just looked at him in utter amazement. (admittedly so did I)
