Strange bump below nostril - maybe an abscess?

Hi all,

I noticed a strange bump below my beardie’s nose before I turned off his lights to go to bed a minute ago. I’m somewhat sure it wasn’t there earlier today, though I may have missed it. Acting/eating/pooping normal, looks kind of bubble-ish like a pimple. Just want to make sure everything’s okay. Here’s some images

Hello,

Are you sure that area isn't food? Have you tried bathing him or washing his face off
by gently scrubbing that area with a soft toothbrush?

Hi, thanks for the response. Upon further inspection it’s definitely a stubborn piece of carrot. I attempted to lightly nudge it off last night with a damp cotton swab and that wasn’t doing the trick which is why I wanted to make sure it wasn’t anything attached to the skin. I think a toothbrush will do the trick though.

So it was just a piece of carrot then, have you been able to remove it?

Yep, I did with a soft toothbrush and actually had to do it again for him today. He’s a very messy eater

Excellent, I am glad that it wasn't anything serious....maybe he needs a bib?
They can get pretty messy sometimes. I'm happy you were able to get him cleaned up!
