Strange behaviour!!

My beardie is 9/10 months old and has a calcium deficiency (don’t worry, he’s under treatment). He used to have rocks in his tank, however I have recently changed them to excavator sand (basically sand which you mix with water and when it dries it isn’t loose). I don’t know why, but he isn’t eating as much as he used to. I have also changed the lighting to a 125 watt exo Terra basking bulb (with heat & uvb in it). He used to eat around 15-20 crickets a day, with some greens (not as much). Yesterday he only had the appetite to eat 3 crickets and no greens. Today he didn’t show any interest in food at all. However he still basks and isn’t loosing any weigh. Is this normal due to the changes in his tank? How long will this be going on?

Dragons don't like change at all!!! This change you made has stressed him and, it might take a while for him to turn back to the way he was.

Sand of any type is dangerous. Excavator sand will become loose when they dig at it, creating the possibility of impaction. It looks nice but is detrimental to your dragon's health. I leave nothing to chance when it comes to my dragon's wellbeing.

He doesn’t really borrow or like to, however I will keep an eye on it! He is also very aggressive... he used to chill on me and relax, however now he kind of “hates me”! I guess this is all caused by the stress & changes I made.
