Strange behavior, is my tank set up good?

So for christams my boyfriend bought me a trex MVB. I thought this was going to solve all my problems with Skyler but I guess not It did up the temps in her tank but she is still acting strange. Sometimes she is dark with stress marks and she hides in the cold places of the tank. I dont know what it is but sometimes she just freaks out and flails herself around the cage and then stuffs herself inside of this corner

She gets all tangled up and dark colored.

I dont know what im doing wrong. Stompy on the other hand is always bright colored and white bellied.

Skylers tank is 100 in the basking spot. She gets crickets, PW's, mustard greens, apples, squash, endive, all of which she eats hungrily. Her poops look fine and she gets a bath almost everyday.

Here is her tank set up. MVB and ceramic heat emmiter. the side with the ceramic heat emitter is 84-87.

(dont worry i dont use that stick on, i have a digital probe)

and here she is. Her and stompy are the same age but stompy is double her size. Sorry about the blurry photo but the camera just ran out of batteries before i could take another

she still looks like a hatchling even though she is almost 6 months.

What am i doing wrong? :?

Awe.. I hope someone has some tips to help you. I just wanted to say that maybe you aren't doing anything wrong. Some just fail to thrive, could be problem with the dragon from birth etc.

So I take it the side with the ceramic heater is the "cool side" if so 84 is quite high up and I would actually turn it off as you don't need it.

You want the cool side to be about 75 degrees.

Before you got the T-rex did your dragon have any uv light? if so what kind? If not how long did it take before uv?

How much is she eating?

Are you dusting the food?

She has a reptiSUN 5 before the MVB

I thought that 85 was a good temp for the cool side for a juvie? My house gets really cold at night. And she was having a hard time digesting the PW they where coming out whole in her poop.

Her crickets are dusted with calcium and muti-vitamins. I forgot what brand off the top of my head but it was one recommended my a mod here on this website.

She eats a good amount of crickets and PWs. probably 20crix and 20PWs and then a salad. This is a great achievement because she used to not eat at all.

Here are a few past topics i Have made about Skyler if anyone is interested in seeing her background.

First she was housed with Stompy and they where fighting

Then Skyler started looking like she was dead

Note: She is now in a 40gal instead of the old 20gal

Now I thought I did everything that everyone suggested but she still has weird episodes where she freaks out and isnt growing much. And ALWAYS has stress marks. Im so frustrated and sad

Have you had a fecal check?

It could be parasites.

I would say turn on the ceramic heater at nights if your house goes below 65 degrees.

When did you move your beardie into the 40 gallon?

What I think happened was they were taken from whereever you bought them into the new home. So got hit by relocation stress which had the parasites start to flourish.

Then was dominated by the other beardie so the parasites flourished even more.

Moved home and the parasites kept coming.

And now moved again.

I would highly recommend getting a fecal check done.

If so and clean I do apologize it's just my theory.

It could just be the runt of the litter and does not grow properly as well.
