Storing Wax Worms

I recently bought about 50 wax worms for my dragon to try. They were in a fridge at 50 degrees. However, when looking online, I see people saying to store them anywhere from 45 to 65 degrees. What temperature do you guys store wax worms at? I currently have a beverage cooler that gets from 50 to 56, so it's perfect for reptiworms, and I'm wondering if that would be okay for the wax worms too.

Hi MoonsAreBlue, we store ours in a wine cooler at 53-55 degress here at lindasgonebuggie.com. That is the perfect temp. to keep them, as the refrig. is 40 and is way to cold of a temp. to keep them at. (most times if kept in the refrig. as soon as you put them in the 40 degrees it shocks them, but they will still look fine until you bring them to room temp that's when they start to break down and turn black). Your doing the right thing though MoonsAreBlue You should have around 3 weeks to a month storing them in the wine cooler. Just a little word to the wise though when you get ready to feed off a few, only take out what you need to bring to room temp. as if you pull them all out and let them come to room temp and then stick them back in the frig. it will shorten there life span in the wine cooler. We also store our repti's this way too! Hope that helps Thanks, Linda.
