I'm new to bearded dragons and reptiles in general. I'm feeding Phoenix worms and crickets, I'm curious how you guys store them to keep them fresh and from transforming into the black soldier Flys. The crickets aren't an issue really, I work at a pet store and can get them regularly. But the Phoenix worms I either have to drive 20 miles to get or pay to have them shipped online. I'd like to be able to get 500-1000 but don't want them to go bad before feeding.

Some people store them in wine coolers. Keeping them cool will slow down the growth process. Hopefully someone who knows the exact temp can chime in here.

That's what the guy at the store where I got them at told me, but I don't want to spend 100 dollars on one if I can prevent it.

A wine cooler set at 52*F. works very well but it isn't necessary. You can use a very small, cheap, Styrofoam cooler if you don't have a cool storage place in your home (like a basement). Just freeze two bottles of water. Put a frozen bottle of water inside on one side of the cooler and stack your cups of Phoenix Worms on the other side of the cooler. This will lower the ambient temperature and lengthen the shelf life of your worms. Each morning, simply replace the thawed bottle with the frozen one in the freezer and swap out each day.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
