stopped eating and now lethargic

So my beardie baby, Catahoula, stopped eating after hurricane Sandy hit the east coast and still hasn't eaten. He is around 6 or 7 weeks - 6 " snout to tip and I'm not sure how much he weighs.

His set Up:
1 basking lamp - basking spot around 110 degrees
paper towel bedding
two bowls - one for veggies and such and one for water on the cooler side
cooler temp of tank is 85 degrees
it's a 20 gal screen tank (kept in a room with a temp of 85 so it stays that way all day & night)
a beardie hammock made of fabric
10.0 UVB tube lighting (not the coil or bulb)
one rock hide

Food offered:
I have 1/8 inch crickets which he used to love which are dusted with calcium daily but he has zero interest in them now. He also has a few shredded carrots (only a couple) and some squash and peas. finally, I have baby bearded dragon bites which he did eat a lot before.

1st day I noticed he was eating less:
He only ate 2 crickets and a lot of beardie bites

2nd day:
one cricket, no beardie bites

3rd day:
maybe a couple of crickets? did not see him eat any but bf says there were less in the tank than were given

today:
nothinge

what I've tried:
I've tried giving him different sized crickets, using brighter foods (the carrots and squash), and adjusting the temp by 2 or 3 degrees. Today I even grabbed a 1/8" cricket and rubbed it on his nose. He opened his mouth for a fraction of a second then closed it when i tried to move the cricket at all. Never opened his mouth again even though I tried rubbing the cricket on his nose, which usually is why he opens his mouth. he does perk up when a little cricket runs by and starts to move after them like he's hunting but then falls asleep only a moment after he makes one move towards them. and once he closes his eyes, he doesn't care if they crawl on him.

he is also being lethargic and losing weight. He moves around the tank but very slowly over longer periods of time and has ended up in his food dish a few times. he just curls up in the bowl on top of the baby bites and goes to sleep! He only keeps one eye open at a time but will become very alert and look around if I pick him up. He's definately losing weight/changing shape. He used to be a big eater and a plump little guy but now he's starting to get very skinny. At first, I thought he might be impacted but he is still going to the bathroom. But his fecals are clear with just a little bit of white or brownish in them and runny. I'm at my wits end and terrified he is slowly starving to death.

please! any help? I'm going to get baby food and soy yogurt right after I post this but I doubt he will eat them because he refuses even his beloved beardie bites. I've tried everything I can think of and have been bathing him as muc as possible. - just falls asleep in the little bathtub.

Hi there, I'm sorry about little Catahoula ! Was there a power outage at all, or were your temps. consistent ? Right now, you might try lowering the temp. by about 5 degrees on either end of the tank, and they need a cooler temp. at night, no more than 80. He may be dehydrated, so try dripping somew water on his snout to see if he'll drink. Try that several times a day. Also, the baby food may help. Hopefully he'll perk up a little.

we did lose power so we moved to my cousin's house so he wasn't under UVB for about 45 minutes while we drove there but we kept it toasty in the car for him.

I will be posting pictures soon of how he looks now compared to before.

I turned the temp down to 80 - gave him a warm bath, dripped water on his nose, and tried the baby food. he opened his mouth maybe 5 times (and I mean he barely opened it a cm) for the baby food and twice for the water. happy that I got baby food into him even if it wasn't enough to make a difference.

wrapped him up and letting him sleep now. he couldn't keep his eyes open at all when I was trying to feed him although he did open both eyes when i put him in his bath.

I read your little story in the beardie tales forum, he's such a cutie ! Another thing I would suggest is to be sure to keep him in the tank, he seems to have been on a lot of outings with you, and a baby can't tolerate being away from the heat + UVB, plus all the carrying around in general can cause them to lose their appetite. It's good that he has had a few licks of food + water. Keep that up, and offer a few crippled crickets near him to see if he'll go for them over the next few days. Hang in there Catahoula !

here is how he looks now:

how he looked before:

These are albums with multiple pictures so you can see the difference - in only 3 days he has changed this much!

AHBD - I did stop taking him out of his tank other than for baths since we have been back after the storm. the last trip before that was to my boyfriends - you can see the pix of him in the black shirt with catahoula in the 'before' album, and he seemed just fine then and after that.

Ok, his messes concern me a little. He needs a fecal done, and by the sounds of it, fast. The moving around likely caused his immune system to take a hit. If this is the case, low amounts of parasite that may have been in his system, may have sky rocketed.
I know you stated that you have a tube light but what brand is it?

It really helped Myah after her meds and it's the ONLY liquid she's takes happily. I really suggest it.

I'm just worried he won't make it to monday if he keeps on sleeping like this.

I don't have it but I will look tomorrow. There are 7 pet stores in the area, including That Pet Place, Petsmart, and Petco. Any idea which store would have it?

I do have soy yogurt which I will try tomorrow.

I'd also suggest Carnivore Care

"Carnivore Care is a premium recovery food designed for carnivores that are unwilling to eat their normal diet. Formulated by animal nutritionists and veterinarians with exotic pet care expertise, Carnivore Care meets 100% of the needs of a sick or convalescing obligate carnivore. Carnivore Care is a 45% protein, 32% fat formulation with added vitamins and minerals. Mix 2 parts Carnivore Care to 1 part water adjusting amount as needed. Syringe feed through a soft tube or by dripping on nose. Average adult dragon needs approximately 1 to 2 tsp of food per day.

Dragons off food recovering should be carefully weaned onto protein, feed the Critical Care Fine Grind for a week before gradually adding Carnivore Care to slowly add protein.

Our preferred mixture is 1 tsp of butternut squash baby food with 1/8 teaspoon of carnivore care and 1/8 teaspoon critical care, liquid calcium, Acidophus+ and Electrolytes"

All are available through 'The Bearded Dragon Company'

Have you tried giving Catahoula any of the soy yogurt? It reallyreally helped my big guy's tummy when I moved him to my house and he wasn't eating much. I gave him some in the evening (it wasn't much, maybe 1/4tsp at the very most) and the next morning he was hungry :)
Good luck! Human and beardie fingers & toes are crossed that it's just stress-related and he bounces back soon <3 <3
Oops, you posted about the yogurt while I was typing lol. Hopefully it helps!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
