Hello,

It is always possible it could be Adeno, there are many issues it can cause.
If you wanted to test for it, you can sign up on my website at:

www.thepats.info

Be sure to include your mailing address, too. The test per sample is $21 which is
very affordable.
I hope she is feeling better.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting me. We will get
your swabs sent out.
How are your dragons doing, any improvements at all?
I hope they are getting better. For now, I
would try to keep the overnight temps at
or around 75-80F to help boost the immune
system.

Hi,

What was the resolution to this? Our 4mo beardie tested positive for pinworms and coccidia and is currently being treated. 2nd dose is next week and in the meantime we’ve been syringe feeding EmerAid. She acts pretty normal outside having no interest in food. A few days in I started sneaking in a fly larvae with her liquid diet and she chews it up and eats a few, but will never go for them herself anymore.

I guess we’re still early on with this but I’m wondering what strategy you went with and whether she started eating properly? How long did it take? I just don’t know if I should keep hand feeding the insects (almost feels forced) or stick to the liquid diet only.

I guess my main question is what strategies should I be using? eg:
- Just keep doing what I'm doing and expect she will eat one day
- Stop syringe feeding her for 2 days every once in a while
- Stop syringe feeding her for a week
- gradually decrease syringe feeding
etc

It's been 6 weeks already, which seems like a very long time.

Hi all,

Checking in on any updates? This is such a similar situation to mine. Very small coccidia count on our 2nd visit the vet said she normally wouldn’t treat it but did anyway. Still doing syringe feeding and occasionally forcing an insect after 5-6 weeks. Seeing good growth though… but no interest in food.

I’m going to do an adeno swab and try molasses.

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
