stinky poo

ok before yall say go to the vet,I am calling to make an appointment after thanksgiving. I just want to know if i should be worried.

My baby has normal poos with normal white urates every day. she is only about 11 inches long and has an amazingly huge appetite still and she is very active. She eats a ton of crickets and a lot of collard greens and some kale everyday. yesterday she had a treat of apple slices. the only thing wrong with her poo is it stinks pretty bad. It has stunk for a few days now. I am going to get a fecal done when we go to the vet. I am confused because if she has a bug isnt she supposed to have diarrhea and a bad appetite? Thanks

Not really, sometimes the parasites have just gotten overloaded, so no loss of appetite and no weight loss. Sometimes the collards can cause stinky poops, but if the stink is bad enough to reach past her tank, then it could be parasites. It's not easy to judge, so getting a fecal is a good idea. If your baby does have parasites, please get a good probiotic like Benebac, Acidophiluz or soy yoghurt, as, just like humans on antibiotics, she'll need good bacteria to be added to her tummy to add it, as the antibiotic that she'll get will kill all bacteria. If you're not sure where to get a good probiotic I've gotten Benebac from this site, it also has liquid Acidophiluz. www.bug-de-lite.com. You give her the antibiotic, then 2 hrs later the probiotic, then food. Good luck, hope the fecal is negative.
