Hi All
Got my beardy about 6 weeks ago, he was about 5-6 weeks old. He still seems to be very shy/nervous. He won't leave his cave if I'm in the room (I've actually taken it away cause didn't think he was getting temps). Now he'll hide behind anything he can, stone etc. If he's on top of his climbing branch he'll scale down behind it to hide. I pick him up and have him rest across my fingers while rubbing his back, but this won't last, he'll run off. You can see he doesn't really like being picked up or even bothered with in his Viv. Really hoping some people could offer up some advice. Have tried T - Shirt thing, few weeks ago, and he actually wrapped himself up in it, real deep. Did it couple of days ago and he doesn't even hide behind it.
I'm also a bit disappointed by his eating, people on here say there's will eat 20-30 crickets a day there is no way he does this. I have noticed though, might be imagining it but I think he's more inclined to eat if there is Vitamin powder on the food. Anyone heard of this? I've considered getting him a separate small tank for feeding??
On Sunday last he was going nuts and trying to climb the walls, jumping up them and then the glass as well. Anyone any ideas? Sunday I did see his first arm wave, good or bad?
I really appreciate any advice, it's stressing me out that I might be doing something wrong.
He did look so cute this morning sleeping, stretched out like a teenager.
