Still has watery eyes

Well Spike's eyes are watery and sticky again, it had cleared up for a while but it looks like it's back. I never figured out what was causing it in the first place. When I woke him up today he couldn't open his left eye because it was stuck together, so he spent a minute furiously rubbing his head on my hand.
He wouldn't chase his locusts like usual, it seemed like he just wasn't seeing them.
I've heard this can be caused by a vitamin A deficiency so I should give him more things with that in, does anyone know if that's true?

Did you take him to the vet for a diagnosis when this happened the previous time?

Yes its true a vitamin A deficiency can cause it, but without a checkup from a vet to propperly diagnose i wouldnt treat as if it were.

Heres some info on vitamin A deficiencies
There could be other causes as well like substrate getting into the eye (If youre using loose particle substrate). Do you?
UVB affecting the eyes. What brand and type are you currently using?
Something could have gotten into the eye, or he couldve scratched it

" Hypovitaminosis A is the most common cause of nonspecific, inflammatory, periocular disease in reptiles" "Symptomns are: swollen or reddened eyelids and mucous membranes, nasal discharge, or respiratory distress (dyspnea). Hyperkeratosis of the skin and mouth parts may also be observed."

I should have been clearer, sorry.

He's not on loose substrate, but he was when I got him and he had a coil UVB about 2/3 months ago. I got rid of the coil right away and he now has a reptisun 10.0. Temp is 95-105 depending on how warm my living room is.

I did take him, but there was nothing to see when I did. They checked his mouth for respiritory disease and said he looked fine.

Just to throw this in for good measure, Hypervitaminosis A is not a deficiency but, rather a build up of vitamin A in the system.

You had me second-guessing myself for a second there haha.

I'm ringing the vet on saturday because my rep vet treats all the wildlife park and safari animals in the area, so he's only there once a week ( :( ).

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
