Starting a Dubia Colony

Hello,

I am considering starting a colony of Dubias and would like any information I can get. Are there any links with comprehensive info and instructions?

How much does it cost to start a colony? Once you start it, how much to maintain? How long will it take before I can feed them to my beardie?

If any escape, will it start an infestation? I am moving to NYC and worried as is about cockroaches in my apartment, so I am hesitant to bring them in on purpose!

I would appreciate any information you can give! Thank you!

Do it! You will save yourself sooooo much money on buying livefood! I bought a starter colony for about £30 about 6 months ago and its the best thing ive ever bought for spike!! I keep them in a clear plastic tank with egg boxes and salad stuff and some cat/dog dry food at the bottom, and with some bug gel (water) both ends, and they breed and breed! They breed everyday! Theres always more of them! I just tend to feed the smaller ones to keep the larger ones breeding, only feeding them occasionally when theres loads! Spike loves them and now hes only costing me a selection of salad stuff a week! Best thing ever!!!!! Strongly recommended!!!
