I had animal planet on tv and this show about the amazon wild came on. It started with a bunch of noisy monkeys and I think it freaked out my beardie. He has been in his hide for the last 40 minutes...he has never used his hide for anything other than rubbing his back when he is shedding. Not sure what I should do? I feel so bad. He looks so sad. I even tried bribing him out with reptiworms and he wasn't interested. He keeps trying to dig under his hide. :-(

hey just leave him and he will come out my baby beardie gets spooked all the time usually by the kettle he goes under his log we leave him alone and he pops out after a while

He is still not coming out :-( I took his hide out for a bit so he would eat and he did but he went back in as soon as I put it in. He is all curled up in there looking sad. How long can he stay under there for? It has been 24 hours so far minus the few hours I took the hide out for eating and basking. :-\

It is going to be a waiting game.

Babies spook really easy, and are very cautious, so hopefully he will come out soon.

He is still spending a lot of time in his hide :/ He will come out on his own to bask and poop and eat but outside of that, he is just staying in his hide now. He used to hang out on his hammock and watch us or watch tv. I am not sure if I should be worried. I gave him his bath yesterday and held him for a bit and he seemed normal.

Well, thats one of the reasons its often suggested to not provide a hide for babies, because all they will do is hide. Perhaps you can try taking him out, and covering the hole into the cave?
