Spoiled, hand-fed beardie

Hello! My beardie has never been a very good eater. Unless there's something very tempting in his food dish, he won't eat very much. I heard that beardies get addicted to superworms, and those were the bulk of his diet for a long time, so i no longer feed him those. We put a couple of wax worms in with his veggies to get his appetite going, but he still won't eat certain veggies i want him too. However, he will eat almost anything i give him if it's in my hand! Have i spoiled my dragon?? Also, the one thing i can't get him to eat that i would like him to is carrots. The orange around his eyes and mouth used to be much brighter than it is these days, and i heard carrots will brighten him up. Is there anything else i can feed him to make him more orange?
