Spit out a Dubia

Anyone ever seen this happen?

I was able to get him to eat a few Dunia here and there, but not a whole lot. Today, he excitedly took one, chewed a couple times, and spit it out.

Why?

He wanted the strawberry flavored one lol.
Honestly I've no idea.
