Spike's color

I'm no pro with beardie morphs, but could someone tell me what color Spike is? I assume he's just a normal? He's supposedly old, at least I know they've had him 5 years, but the people they got him from don't know how old he his. He was neglected, and I've worked hard to get him back up to speed. So close to death, he's now active, has proper light and food and doing overall better. The only thing is he can't open his eyes, they're a little watery and swollen, getting better everyday, but he's not letting that stop him. He can readily identify shade and sun and can tell where it stops and starts and follows my smell and voice everywhere. He walked all over the gravel and sand (Live in AZ) and confidently went quite a distance and explored. Today he jumped off one chicken coop to another and beelined for my leg and crawled up my jacket to get on my shoulder. Eyes closed... Makes me wonder just how much they really can see!

Now, as for color he used to be a tan sandy color with no patterning on him whatsoever. Just a total tan sand color. Maybe like cherry wood type color. These two pictures are him currently.

Thanks, I figured. Doesn't make me like him any less. I saw Fire and Ice's dragons they breed, quite colorful! I like the whites. Someone locally has one for sale here, but I won't get it.
