Spike has had a missing front arm, he doesn't seem to be gro

My baby beardie has had a missing arm since I got him. It seems to be getting smaller over time and is always raw and red. lately it has just been black like the rest of it is going to just fall off, so he would have no arm at all. He is still pretty small and doesn't seem to be growing. He doesn't eat very much either. I have a UVB light, and a basking light, while having 1 night light over him at night. (There are 3 baby beardies in the tank all together, I watch to make sure they don't accidentally bite his stub and it has gotten worse.) I feed them mealworms that are just a bit bigger than their head, with the occasional crickets. I have been using neosporin a few times which seems to show improvement. However, I do not know why he is not getting any bigger, and doesn't eat as much as the others. One of his eyes are usually closed too. I feel so bad for him. Please help.

Because of his problems with eating and his arm, i suggest separating him from the other beardies. A lot of times when you house more than one beardie together one will feel dominated by the other(s) and won't eat.

Also don't feed mealworms to beardies, the mealworms have a hard outer shell which can cause impaction.

What brand UVB are you using?

You need to AT LEAST seperate the injured beardie and seek medical advise as a vet should be able to give you suitable antibiotics if the arm is infected

Ok, I am going to put him in another tank as soon as I get another UVB bulb. I use Fluckers UVB bulb that fits right into to a reflector dome. I need to get a florescent uvb light. Can I just go to any vet?

Yes the best UVB light you can get in the states is a reptisun 10.0 TUBE. The coil bulbs are no good for basking lizards.

Well best thing is to phone up vets near you and see if they have a veterinarian who is qualified in reptiles.
